Limo Larry gives himself a bonus...and then laid off half his staff

In no management universe were those actions defensible. You could attack them on the grounds of morals, greed, integrity, or simple management stupidity. Or some combination. But nowhere would it be considered proper. If you were about to lay off a few good performers and you could get them a bonus before they left, that would be a different thing. But to feather your own nest? Worse yet, to take money from the organization that could have gone toward keeping a few more lower paid folks on the payroll? Rather than "Limo Larry", I'm thinking "Pond Scum".

So those of you who understand the workings of academia better than I, WHY haven't the university presidents of the PAC 12 acted to remove him? Does his contract make "untouchable"?

As more time goes by, the cheaper it is. And with something like misrepresentation to the presidents it could be a for cause termination, which would not require payment of his buyout.

If his contract doesnt make him hard to remove.... it tells me everything I need to know about the league presidents. They dont wanna do what it takes to elevate pac 12 football.

It's a shame that the sum of all of his incompetence and poor decision making over the last few years isn't "for cause". I guess just doing a crappy job isn't reason enough to fire someone at that level.

Larry is quite good at taking care of Larry.

Sociopathic behavior from Larry. Complete lack of shame and empathy. This works when you are successful but is intolerable when you fail. Time to find cause and fire him for it. #metoo

Combine limo Larry with the players that want to be paid and right now I am fed up with Pac 12 sports. I need an explanation from Schulz as to what he’s doing to manage this situation. No ifs or buts about it, limo Larry should already of been fired. Right now I am a bit disappointed I donated this years season tickets to the athletic dept. If all of this bs doesn’t get straightened out by next year, my 25 plus years of being a season ticket holder will cease.

I sense a strongly worded letter coming on...
