Memphis AD said on a local radio station 92.9(their local area, not our local area), that if the PAC 12 were to offer them, that they would seriously listen, consider it, do due diligence.

Because of that PAC 12 should offer them 12 mil to 23 mil and be open to negotiation, counter offers, and should seriously try to get them. And should not lowball them again.

But PAC 12, Teresa Gould is probably not smart enough to do that, which is why it probably won't happen, I'll believe it could happen if it does happen.

It just makes to much sense to happen.

1. Memphis is the BEST G5.

2. If get Memphis, could probably easily then get Tulane, UNLV, USF, UTSA the BEST G5 left.

3. If PAC 12 were to get Memphis, Tulane, UNLV, UTSA, USF. The PAC 12 media deal would be worth 14,15,16,17 mil per team, per year because sports media deal sources told PAC 12, MWC that no SINGLE, SINGLE, SINGLE program would raise the media deal, but that if PAC, MWC were to either merge, or get a handful of teams like Memphis, Tulane, USF, UTSA, UNLV, that media deal would be about 14,15,16,17,18 mil per team per year.

4. It would WEAKEN the AAC the main competition to PAC 12 as far as getting a team to CFP.

5. It would truly make the PAC 12 a Truly best of rest hybrid G5, P5, P4 level conference behind ACC, Big 12.

6. It could make the PAC 12 conference merge with Big 12, ACC in future.

Loyal, if accurate, that is the best trivia item you've brought up in a very long time. V Lane strikes again! What a tool....

Funny you say that. Little trivia for ya:
Q: Who was the Memphis State President when they changed their name from Memphis State to U of Memphis?
A: Vernon Lane Rawlins
The anti- Mike Price, anti- athletics, pro- golf course former WSU President?

Theresa has given all her money to Gloria, it won't happen, unless they win the latest law suit.

Theresa has given all her money to Gloria, it won't happen, unless they win the latest law suit.

PAC 12 started with 250 mil war chest.

BSU, Fresno St, SDSU, CSU, Utah St joined.

That's 5 that joined. Exit Fee is 18 mil if the 5 gave timely notice. 35 mil if not. They gave timely notice. So Exit Fee is 18 mil.

PAC 12 helping with Exit Fee's but not paying whole Fee. We don't know how much PAC 12 help, so let's say 10 mil per each team.

5 teams x 10 mil is 50 mil.

Next is the Poaching Fees. The poaching Fees are about 15 mil(Loyal can give exact amount)

5 times 15 mil is 75 mil.

50 mil in helping with Exit Fee's + 75 mil in poaching Fee's is 125 mil.

So the PAC 12 has spent about 100 mil to 113 mil to 125 mil depending on how much PAC 12 helped with Exit Fees and how much poaching fees are.

250 mil - 100 to 125 mil = 125 to 150 mil left.

Out of that 100 to 150 mil PAC 12 has paid about 50 mil towards operating cost.

That means that 50 mil to 75 mil left over out of 250 mil War Chest.

Next PAC 12 has 7 mil per team per year media deal with CW coming in. 2 teams times 7 mil is about 15 mil.

Add 15 mil to 50 to 75 mil.

That means that 65 mil to 90 mil left.

But wait there is PAC 12 enterprises, that has been doing NBA game, NFL games, MLB games, etc, according to sources like Wilner, Canzano, etc.

So PAC 12 has plenty enough money to offer 10 mil to 15 mil to 20 mil to get Memphis, whether win Lawsuit or not.

It's just that winning lawsuit would give the PAC 12 even more money then the lots of money left.

But I think that's all a moot point, even if PAC 12 wins lawsuit.

And that's because I don't think Teresa Gould is either smart enough or doesn't want to offer Memphis and so won't offer Memphis even if win Lawsuit.

And even if She were to offer Memphis, and even if PAC 12 won lawsuit. She would probably lowball Memphis, not seriously offer, BLOW IT AGAIN.

I just do NOT trust Gould to get Memphis even if Lawsuit won.
