So looks like Theo decided to be a Coug reporter again or at least for one more article, he couldn't pass up the opportunity to trash the program and Rolo one more time.

Rolo getting sued

I don't get what the deal is with some sports reporters and their animosity towards the team they cover. Were they the last one picked at dodgeball? QB steal their girlfriend? I mean, why go into the field if you're going to have an antagonistic relationship with your job? Blanchette, Theo, Canzano... to name a few.

You think a coach who is being sued even if it is frivolous should not be reported? It is a matter of record.

I've always assumed it was all of the above for Blanchette.

I am not blaming the report of it, that fact that he is getting sued should be reported. However, the reporter's lack of stating all the fact is the problem if have with it. He mentions a recorded phone conversation, but mentions nothing about it be illegal. A D 1 player is now at Northern Colorado, so no mention of pac 12 to big sky, if he was so highly recruited why did he fall so far? It mentions 4 other athletes that opted out due to covid, to doesn't mention where they are now. Also anytime there is a turnover in coaches there is always a turnover in players, the reporter makes it sound like this was an unusual event. Plus it was Covid and lot of strange stuff happened everywhere from the government to you work place to your home.

The story is one sided in favor of the person filing the law suit, that's the problem I have with the article. You can write all you want, but be fair and present all the facts, Theo doesn't like Rolo, it is obvious from the article, and that's the problem I have, it is biased reporting.

Theo only does this type of jabs AFTER he’s done working with a coach/program.

Go back & review his interactions with Leach & Rolo. His approach on Twitter & overall TMZ style commentary only appeared when Leach was in Mississippi & he assumed the Zag coverage with Rolo.

!No Balls!

Didn’t leach call out and even ban Theo?

For whatever reason, likely a lack of leverage to force any different treatment, WSU always seems to wind up with journalists covering the team who think they are a mix of Edward Murrow and Frost interviewing Nixon when it comes to "not showing bias" toward the school, its athletics teams, or its coaches. Meanwhile, UW and just about any other university I've seen manages to wind up with a friendly press. I'm not saying to bury real stories or not at least dig a little, but I wish we could have some reporters who weren't constantly trying to prove their lack of bias by being antagonistic.

Reporters need to show both sides of a story and provide enough context for the piece to be fair.
