Good PG's drive and dish for those open looks. Even wings should drive and dish. We have no players who can pass the ball which makes the offense look bad. Works better when they go fast. Part of Callison's problem was he was supposed to be the "good" defender. Well not so much it seems. Ike, Que, and he all need to have a major rework of there defensive skillsets.

Kent and company have to do a better job of developing team unity and getting the most out of his players. There are a lot of "ifs" on this team . We saw glimpses in some wins and close losses but it all seem to fall apart at the end of the season.I really want to see what Kent does with his two scholarships . I also suspect that there may be one more opening but that is just a feeling without any basis at this time. Both Connor and King need to get in better shape for next year and hit the weigh room hard this off season.One hopes that Hawkinson continues to work hard and can make a huge leap forward for his senior year.I .unlike others,have hopes that the cougs can turn things around this next season.The adjustment period for the jucos is over and they need to work hard to fulfill their promise and potential.

I can't speak for others, but I would be surprised if most Cougar fans don't have hopes that things turn around next season. There may be some who would like to see Kent fail, but I think it's a small percentage. More likely, a lot of fans have tuned out basketball for now. Many comments that are critical are about what has happened so far during the Kent tenure. It would be great if he upgrades the roster and does a better job developing players. He has a chance with so many scholarships for 2017. But a repeat of this year's season in 2016-17 is likely a recipe for a coaching change.

I agree that he has to start having better results. Much like Leach did after a 3-9 season. Leach certainly turned it around and 95% of the fans are behind him now

Big difference is that Leach is bringing in solid recruiting and this just isn't true of Kent. No one that is a Cougar fan wants to see failure. Hopefully the assistants also turn around the lousy defense, poor rebounding (except Hawkinson) and that the trainer gets them in shape. King was coming off of a fractured leg so tough to get in good shape. Clifford has to be protected in the defense by the guards. Kent has plenty of time as he isn't going anywhere.

That is why King and Clifford have to work doubly hard during the off season. Clifford has to lose some weight and really get into better shape. King needs to get back into playing shape and hit the weights to get stronger.

Don't forget that Leach did take us to a bowl game in his second year....at least he had some success before the 3-9 season.

I would add that even if Callison had bee a floor general type, this team has so many deficiencies that it would not have made much of a difference. There seems to be some sentiment that WSU is just a good point guard away from being a good team. We need more shooters and guys who can/will play some defense.

Just to be clear, I wasn't suggesting if we got a good pg then all would be well. My point is that you have to start at that position and get someone who can be a good player and a good leader. That is an absolute requirement. One that Bone never understood.

Totally understand your point and I agree. I can't think of many successful teams that don't have an outstanding point guard. Ernie's great teams at UO included Aaron Brooks and Luke Ridnour.
