...and they are playing in their second consecutive bowl game.

Just sayin'.

Who's to say Leach wouldn't be aging in his 4th bowl if Maryland hired him. There is a little more talent within 200 miles of Maryland than there is from Pullman and Leach took WSU to a bowl in his second season.

Maryland let go of the winningest coach in their history to get this coach. WSU let go of the losingest coach.

Just sayin'.

Edsell did take over a team at Maryland that had been to four bowls in their last five years before he took over, including 9-4 the year before. In his first three years at Maryland, he won six conference games. Leach has won seven conference games in his first three years.

Stanford is up 28-7 with 1:17 left in the first half

Not a good showing by Maryland to this point.

Cougs were down 17-7. So far (and a game is 60 minutes, not 30), Maryland does not belong on the field up to this point. We will have to see how both teams come out after half time.

One play into the fourth quarter, Stanford is up 42-7.

Maryland won four games in the Big 10 conference this season. If they were in the Pac 12, they would not have won four conference games.

Yes clearly Maryland would have tore up the PAC 12 this year with this stellar performance against Furd.

And for the record, Maryland passed on Paul Wulff as well.
