MBB vs Pacific

Yep, neither the men's, nor the women's, ESPN+ stream is working. I am very disappointed, as I was really looking forward to watching the game tonight.

It is working for me now. It looks like ESPN+ did me a favor, as the Cougs are down by 10 at the half. Not sure how the Cougs played, but it must not have been well. Pacific has played a lot of close games but has lost almost all of them. They normally shoot around 43% for the season but are at 60.6% in the first half. They are normally 28.6% from three but are 50% for the game.

Hopefully, they do not keep that up.

Big one on Saturday. I’m willing to bet the players and probably coaches lost their focus thinking they’d cruise in this one.
They made it to OT. No quit in the team. This was the perfect trap game in between the two toughest opponents in SF and Gonzaga.

Holy crap! I can’t watch it but following along. Hopefully can hold on and still have some in the tank for Saturday.

They had a player that played like Jordan. He will likely never have another game like this all year. Just a disappointing loss.

We should have known the Gods were against us today with the issue with ESPN+ at the beginning.

This is worse than the prairie view loss a couple years back. Only way to get in is win the conference tourney now...an all too familiar place for us to be.

If the ref had balls he’d have called a travel on the inbounder.

Bottom line though, Cougs didn’t play well enough to win for most of the game. Too many turnovers once again.

Wait the inbounder can’t move? I thought they could run up and down the baseline?? I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a travel called there.

The game was lost on free throws. You can’t keep handing over free possessions while missing free throws. If you go up 3 you can foul them and eliminate the chance to tie. Brutal loss. Hopefully they can flush it and give the Zags a game on Saturday.

Only after a made basket can the inbounder run out of bounds. Otherwise, the inbounder needs to remain stationary (pivot foot allowable). Refs don't usually call a player shifting back and forth changing pivot fee but if they shuffle or change location from the original inbound spot to gain a better angle, it should be called a travel.

I've seen it called once in a high school game - last second situation, player was taking the ball out at half court and pressure all over the place. Inbounder took a couple steps to get a better angle and the ref called him for traveling. Other team took the turnover and scored a 3 at the buzzer to win it.

Its always the refs to fans. Lousy defensive and all the turnovers finally caught up with this team. Lack of depth and all the injuries make it an impossible task to overcome. 5 game tournament its goin to work.

I said it was the turnovers.
