I beg to differ with your characterization of the game, Scott: the Cougs won the opening tip.

I blame kent for starting a senior just because. He had to treat this game as if it was important. One does not screw around and start a player just to start him and expect the cougs to approach the game with intensity

Lot of reasons why kids don't get into a game. I highly doubt starting a senior backup on senior day is one of them

He got us out to a lead with a 3 and was our leading scorer with 10 points.

Say what you will but i have seen where teams are not mentally prepared when a coach starts his seniors. To me,that was not a good idea. I have seen the same thing happen with mnay other teams.

I kind of agree with El, I know it is the standard practice and I’ve done it plenty of times myself. I have however seen it back fire on more than one occasion, coach really needs to emphasize how important the game is and make sure players understand intensity is always important no matter who starts. I really don’t think we match up very well with Oregon State and I wonder what happened or was said in the lockeroom to get both Flynn and Robo benched.
