Hard to believe we are struggling right now considering all the NBA players we have.
1. NBA PROSPECT POTENTIAL ON PAPER. NOT GUARANTEED
2. JUST BECAUSE THE TEAM IS STRUGGLING DOES NOT MEAN THAT THERE ARENT NBA PROSPECTS.
3. CJ, A NBA PAST NBA PROSPECT PLAYED ON KENT TEAMS THAT STRUGGLED.
4. DUKE UNDER COACH K WAS ABOUT 14-16 RECORD WISE FOR 2 STRAIGHT YEARS, BEFORE DUKE, COACH K, WENT TO. NCAA TOURNAMENT THE NEXT YEAR. THAT TEAM HAD 2,3,4 NBA PROSPECTS.
5. UCLA HAD A VERY BAD YEAR WITH A VERY YOUNG TEAM WITH 2,3,4 NBA PROSPECTS, 5 STARS.
6. UW, ABOUT 1,2,3,4 YEARS AGO ONLY WON ABOUT 12,13,14,15 GAMES WITH A VERY YOUNG TEAM, PRACTICALLY ALL HS FRESHMEN RECRUITED, PLAYED AT UW, STARTED AS FRESHMEN, HAD. ABOUT 2,3,4, 5 STARS, AND 2,3,4 NBA PROSPECTS, AND 1, ONE AND DONE NBA LOTTERY/1ST ROUND PROSPECT.
7. CAPS ADDED TO UNDERLINE, EMPHASIZE POINTS, SO THAT THEY DONT GET MISSED.
The point is, that just like WSU, there have been very young teams, that have started multiple freshmen, and have struggled because of that, turnovers, etc, where 1,2,3,4 of the freshmen are NBA Prospects, an or are 5, FIVE star recruits, where STATISTICALLY STAT WISE the freshmen were producing, playing well.
AJ, EFE, Dischon Jackson are putting up very good stats, and are playing very well, but despite that WSU is struggling(as much as a 12/13/14/15 win Covid/Shortened season, young team can struggle)
And Covid has, will effect a WSU more then other Pac 12 colleges.
And the lack of a True PG is hurting the team
And KOULIBALY who is a POTENTIAL NBA PROSPECT, who Smith says is THE BEST ON THE BALL DEFENDER ON THE TEAM, suffered a out for season fluke injury.
If that hadnt happened, WSU would probably not be struggling as much as it is now.
Basically there are LEGIT reasons for the struggling that have NOTHING to do with the about 2,3,4 NBA Prospects on the team
