It’s not a bad class as far as WSU recruiting goes but by comparison to the rest of the PAC 12 it’s by far the worst class on paper. Potential to prove the experts wrong but coupled with losing 3 starters and our 2 best players from a team that finished second to the last in league and I’d say the men’s program is in the dumpster and sitting way to close to the women’s dumpster that is in flames.
Somebody else on another board asked the question about Kunc statistics...it's been hard to find any. The WSU press release usually lists stats for those who sign LOIs, but none were included with Kunc. Does that mean anything? Perhaps not, but it is strange.Well thanks for that. No offense to the future Cougs, but Kunc at 6'8" and 190 doesn't send shivers down my spine.
Robbie Cowgill came in at probably around 190 tops at 6'10, Kyle Weaver was listed at 6-5" and 185, and Kernich-Drew 6-6" and 180 as freshmen. I wouldn't suggest to simply dismiss it but his current size doesn't necessarily mean a ton especially for a wing.Well thanks for that. The major difference with those guys was the Bennetts were coaching them up.Robbie Cowgill came in at probably around 190 tops at 6'10, Kyle Weaver was listed at 6-5" and 185, and Kernich-Drew 6-6" and 180 as freshmen. Kunc appears to have good shooting range, long arms, and some athleticism. If there's something I am more concerned about it's the level of competition he was playing against. It appears light at best.
Do Hendrickson, Franks, and Flynn count? My point was more about weight not necessarily being a deciding factor in a players development but Kent's had players improve under his watch. The major difference with those guys was the Bennetts were coaching them up.
