Now down 2. I missed the first part of the second half helping with Thanksgiving but they have done a nice job in the moments I have been able to watch. If not for some turnovers we probably would have the lead with 7 minutes to play.
Franks with a step back 3 to take the lead, St. Joe's hits 2 3s to take it back up 5, Daniels buries a 3, Bernstine block triggers a break and Franks gets an easy flush to tie it at 61 with 4:13 to go. Daniels having a really good shooting night.
Really good win down by as much as 20. Get St. Mary's at 10:30 am tomorrow.

This is why I do my best to NOT POST during games. You might end up burping out, after a half rack of Keystone or PBR, some brainless and sweeping conclusion that "(Coach X) isn't going to get it done."

Would really like to see the full 2nd half again. The slumps are almost killing us but it was a nice team effort. They got contributions from a bunch of player.
All I said was Franks was too timid. He's been much more assertive this year and it shows in his production.
Daniels though has continued to play better and better. He had a great game from what I saw tonight.
Also, Acquaah looked more fluid shooting today. Hope that continues.

I'll give you props for this team being more fun to watch. We will see how tomorrow goes against a really good St. Mary's team with less than 24 hours rest.
Just wanted to get a look against a good team like St. Mary's to really gauge what kind of team we have this year. Will definitely help this team.
Considering how bad our basketball program has been outside of minor blips on the radar, I think Kent is doing well enough to earn more time. This was the 4th straight big 2nd half win, and St. Joes is no joke of a program.
Kent’s staff additions and their recruiting strategy is intriguing. The team plays hard for him. If anyone should be bitching, it should be Kent, about the non existent focus WSU places on the hoop program and the abysmal home attendance we get.

The biggest beef I use to have during the Sampson era was how many second half leads, and one or two possession games we lost. As ugly as we have looked in some of the blow out losses during Kents tenure, he has a pretty good record in close games
Some people are starting to eat some crow, but it is still early. The team has to put in 2 halfs of basketball if they want to hang and play with St Marys. They have better talent than The Gaels but the Gaels are a much more experienced team. The cougs beat a very well coached team last night. The team is capable of better basketball Milan shot with the same motion just a little more confidence.If the ball goes in ,the form looks better. St Mary s is a definite step up and the cougs cannot screw around for the first half and expect to be competitive and perhaps win. It is nice to see some defense from the big men for a welcome change. Drick Milan and Chidum have to play better basketball to night,

Don't really know much about St Marys except some people are picking them ahead of GU for the conference this year. Best thing sbout the Cougs is that we have multiple guys capable of shooting us into a win. When they all go cold it is ugly, but it only takes one guy to get us back. Clearly we can't keep having long stretches like we did against St Joe's.
Better talent? St. Mary’s has one of the top big men in college hoops. If we hold him under 25/15, I’ll be shocked.
