More good stuff from Twitter

Clearly, can’t read/comprehend the data. While I could have pulled this from elsewhere, Catturd seemed most appropriate for this bored.🥱
The best posts are the ones accusing people of being illiterate while having first grade spelling mistakes.

I thought he was just gonna turn the water valve back on the right direction so it’s not flowing into the Pacific Ocean and instead is flowing downhill from the pacific NW to California? You don’t need voter ID for that, just Air Force one and some work gloves and boots!
what the hell is he even talking about, let the water flow?

Same thing he’s been referring to after he toured the fires in the north in 2018.

Let’s ask grok.

What the hell is Trump talking about when he says release the water?

Well, the real problem here are the morons that think that more water mains and storage tanks are going to stop these fires.

I talked to a friend of mine who is the manager of a water supply system in Washington and he says that because of the LA fires, local officials are asking his group what they are doing to be help crews to fight wildfires. He's trying to find a nuanced way to tell them that they are idiots who don't understand that his water system is never going to be capable of pumping the volume of water that it takes to actually fight a large wildfire.

There are apparently thousands of armchair engineers out there that have no comprehension of the elements that impact pipe flow capacity like head loss, maximum (and minimum) allowable water pressure, pump performance curves and other factors. You can't cost effectively build a water main that can fight a forest fire without creating pressure problems for users on the mains. Those armchair engineers don't know that fire hydrants are intended to be connected to fire trucks that take the water from the hydrants and then pump that water into hoses...so without fire trucks spread all over the place, their ability to fight fires is reduced and regardless of that, if you open up too many hydrants, none of them work effectively, particularly those near the top of a hill. No amount of reasonable money will make a system robust enough to stop a fire. People bitch about government waste and taxes, but they have no problem calling for wasteful spending when it suits them.

Of course, Trump and his minions have never been concerned with actual science and logic and would much rather fall back on moronic catch phrases than actual solutions. "Open the valve!" is the latest dumb thing to come out of his mouth.

Hey flat, is your friend in the room with us now? Don’t hurt yourself trying to explain poor preparation.

No water, 100 fire engines in the shop, failure to pre-deploy speaks to poor leadership.

O

Edited your post down to the basics....... :) :)

I'm not saying that there was good preparation for the fire event. I'm saying (and my friend says) that only a moron thinks that fire hydrants and public water supply systems are the solution to wildfires.

FWIW, my buddy says that the most important thing that every home in California should have is new screens over their attic vents to keep burning embers from entering into attics. That, and fire resistant materials on roofs and siding.

This is a conspiracy I can get behind. What a F’ing joke.

They took college ball from us now the NFL is going to shit.

The Bills D had about 10 different opportunities yesterday to send Mahomes into early retirement and end this nonsense. Why is everyone so afraid to take his head off?
Because clean, well-timed hits on Mahomes get called for roughing. He’s even more pampered than Brady was.

I’d like to see someone do a serious analysis of viewership, overall penalties, and game-changing penalties and how they affected outcomes for the Chiefs. Run this analysis for the period before the Taylor swift era, compared to after. The NFL certainly enjoys the increased attention she brings….and it really does look like they’re keeping the chiefs on top as long as the swifties keep paying attention.

I can tell you now about viewership. The NFL loves a villain as it brings more eyeballs. The refs have brought so much attention, for good reason, that they appear to be doubling down to be an even bigger villain.

I won’t go so far as to say the games are “rigged” but there’s certainly a pattern that’s emerged. The NFL referees are a union who get paid more when the league makes more money. I don’t hear a peep out of the owners, and some of the stuff we’ve seen specifically in chiefs games, should be cause for recourse, but it’s not.
