As I have written many times, USC and Coach McNair got hosed for what Reggie Bush did on his own. The NCAA had appealed the decision of a lower court saying that Coach McNair had “demonstrated a probability of prevailing on the merits of his defamation case.” The NCAA had wanted the appellate court to strike McNair’s complaint and dismiss the lawsuit.
The California Supreme Court on Wednesday denied the NCAA's petition to dismiss the lawsuit. So, the lawsuit can finally proceed and McNair can get his day in court.
Also, as I have said in the past, I am a WSU fan, not a USC fan. But, wrong is wrong and the NCAA went after the Trojans with all they had and to prove their case, the NCAA lied and ignored evidence proving Coach McNair's innocence.
