Wondered the same thing. Looked at a GU board and easily 90% of the responses were not happy about SU, GCU, or both.

Just some random thoughts.

An impact of the Pac-12 school departures was the end of the Western Basketball Officiating Consortium. The Pac-12 was the main anchor. So, what is happening is that the WCC will be joining the Officiating Consortium anchored by the Big 12. The MWC on the other hand will be joining the Basketball Officiating Consortium anchored by the Big 10. From what I've read it seems that with UCLA, USC, OR, and WA that the Big10 wanted to include the MWC with more of a regional rotation with those officiating crews. Less travel for them.

No big deal other than seeing some of the same officiating crews we were used to seeing we may be seeing some different suspects. Crazy how those departures impacted things that we mostly never think about.
