Stars mean nothing. I predict a higher total win count by year 3 than Ernie ever had. Even if that never happens you have to bail from the sinking ship.

I think stars matter but we need 2-stars to work out. Cowgill, Weaver, and Rotchestie were all 2-star players in the Sweet 16 lineup and we know they were kinda' good. Elleby, Cannon, and Kunc were 2-stars as well. At some point probably around graduation who cares about high school anyway.

Valid point, but altho Cowgill, Rochestie, Weaver were HIGH END 2 stars by SOME recruiting services, at least one of them was at least a low end 3 Star, by another recruiting service.

Also altho a recruiting service had Elleby as a HIGHEST ENDED 2 star, most to almost all recruiting services had Elleby as a 3 star. Same with Cannon.

Kunc is, was a 2 star.

I am not saying stars don't matter, I just hate when people cherry pick when stars are important and when they are not. Ernie wasn't exactly a recruiting guru at WSU and some folks want to be negative towards the new staff.

I dont think EK's recruiting was horrific, though he did have a couple of really bad years. What hurt him was retention and his coaching imo.
