I get that this is like asking how many wins in 1997 without Leaf but this isn’t Leachs air raid with a stable of and that can chuck it. This is an offense that relies on Mateer to make plays

Dickfore has hit the plunger. Drain is spiraling on WSU football. He is one step ahead of Wulff.

at the very least schmedding has to go

He doesn’t know how to hire. How many DCs is he gonna go thru? And the OL coach? This group should have taken a step forward this year on maturity alone. Another step forward because of this JV schedule. They haven’t.

What position group is thriving?

Exactly the same as Wulff except he has 8 wins with two to play and has more wins in his first four seasons than ANY other coach in WSU history.

Yup, other than that success metric, they’re exactly the same.

Good call, Biggs. Very astute.

None, Biggs. There is nothing good. There is no talent and there is no reason to even follow the program at all.

I think you should quit.

4-5 so far? Eckhaus seemed pretty decent.

1997 sans-Leaf? same 4-5....

Edit - and Mateer (incorrectly) shoulders the blame for not scoring enough points to win. What a class act, even though we lost DESPITE his usual heroics. Shit, didn't we score one of those last TD's on 5 straight Mateer runs? Hoppe a cute coed or two were waiting to console him when he got home.

Not many, but how many wins are lost to any team that loses a top level QB? Oregon? Ohio State? Alabama, KC Chiefs?

How many wins without Gesser? Minshew? Bledsoe (92)?
Under Leach... I liked how we seemed to have backups ready to go... ready for the next year.

Granted... the NIL and Transferring like it's picking a new restaurant probably hurt us for having mega awesome backups quite a bit.

Back up... Falk
Back up... Hilinski
Back up... Gordon
Back up... Mateer

Who was backing up De Laura?

Me too!

I was relieved knowing we seem to have both a very talented rsFr and accomplished transfer on the roster ready to go this year if Mateer goes down.

This team has regressed over the season and is not a good team. Let’s not forget this team is about 4 plays from 6-6. I’m disillusioned at this point with this coaching staff. They seem unable to get this team ready to play, lack imagination in play calling and preparing a decent game plan for specific opponents and just at this point seem to be in over their heads and are being out coached and outplanned by opposing coaching staffs. This team has become way too predictable to say the least, but I digress. Enough!

The staff and the CoftRW all need to be fired. Flush the turds.

And build a bigger stadium FFS! Imagine how lit that place woulda been last night if those 10K fans had a 60K stadium to party in!
If you look around the G5, our announced attendance of 17,000 wasn't that bad. On Nov 30 after Thanksgiving in Pullman.

You think our stadium was over half full? I think 17K was generous. I saw maybe 10K there. Was pretty rough.
I said "announced" attendance. That is, I believe, what most schools report. Tickets sold plus student ID's swiped? I guess that's what the number represents.

I remember in 1984(?) when we played Cal in November in a driving rainstorm, seeking and getting our 6th win. I believe that the announced attendance was 15,000. I think it was more like 5,000.

I'm curious to see how Dickert fills the OC and DC positions. Older, experienced coaches? Young up and comers? They need to be good recruiters as well.

Wasn't that game at albi in spokane....1983 to get to 6-4 in the rain followed by the 17-6 pounding of uw in Seattle? That team was a good team. Top 10. That's all I have to say about that
