They are the most overrated horseh*t program in all of college football.
They almost lost to unranked Pitt today who as a program hasn’t been good since Tony Dorsett.
Notre Dame hasn’t won a New Year’s big 4 bowl (Sugar, Rose, Fiesta, Orange) since 1991.
Since 1991.
It’s 2018. It’s been 25 years.
The main reason they won’t join a conference is because they know they can’t win one.

And that’s exactly what Notre Dame has been doing, they claim “it’s about tradition” but it really isn’t. What it really is about is stealing recruits from talent rich areas.
This is why Notre Dame always plays USC (LA Recruiting) and Stanford ( Bay Area Recruiting)
This is also why they play Boston College (catholic fan base New England Recruiting)
Pitt - Pennsylvania Recruiting
Florida State/Miami - Florida Recruiting
Naval Acadamy - maryland/Virginia Recruiting
Etc.
They claim it’s tradition but it’s a lie. They do it so they can recruit those fertile areas every year.
It’s why California players will come to WSU. We play in California every year. So their friends/family can see them.
Notre Dame has been using that trick for a long time.
Hey you from LA? Come to Notre Dame we play USC every year so your family can see you when we play in LA.
From the Bay Area? Come to Notre Dame we play Stanford... you get the idea.
So they basically structured their “legacy tradition games” in recruiting territory.
Then they got that stupid NBC deal back when they actually were good and have been riding that gravy train ever since.
They sit on the playoffs committee as an equal rep to the entire conference. That’s how absolutely stupid the bias is for them.
A program that hasn’t won a big 4 bowl game in 25 years has an equal vote as the SEC?!?

Oh I know the playoff selection system is rigged in their favor. That's why they have to be loving the chaos. It guarantees them a spot even if they don't deserve it
As much as I dislike USC, I hope they Kick some Irish ass the end of November.
I'm with you, Roses. I root for SC when they are playing the SEC, B12 and Notre Dame. After that it is a case-by-case decision.
