Rose- UW vs.Ohio State
Sugar - Georgia vs. Texas
Fiesta - LSU vs. UCF
Peach - Florida vs.Michigan
4 SEC teams make NY6 bowl games.
Personally, I think a 9-4 Texas team would beat a 3-loss UW, Florida, and Penn State...all of whom are ranked in the top 12. And they are easily a better team than Kentucky, who is ranked just ahead of them.Wow, #15 Texas at 9-4
Can someone explain why a #15 team that didn't win their conference gets the Sugar Bowl? Brand name? Life isn't fair?Wow, #15 Texas at 9-4

The agreement made when the CFP was created stated that in years that one of the NY6 bowls doesn't host a CFP game, certain bowls were guaranteed certain tie ins. The Sugar gets the Big 12 vs SEC and the Rose Bowl gets the B1G vs Pac-12. ACC got left out of the deal at the time. So, since Oklahoma is in the playoff, the Sugar Bowl takes the Big 12 runner up.
That's right and thanks. I'm letting my bitterness get in the way.It is because Oklahoma got into the playoffs and Texas was the 2nd place team in the conference. Agreements like that do alter the nature of the top 12 playing in the NY 6 bowls but the Rose Bowl has a similar agreement.
Your not the only one, don't feel badThat's right and thanks. I'm letting my bitterness get in the way.
