Hopefully the new assistant basketball coach will improve the fundamentals and be allowed to be the floor coach. JD has always been able to recruit good players

I hope so as well. June is a good leader and her players play hard. They just do not always play smart, as too often they play out of control. Her husband is supposed to be the the the associate head coach/floor coach, but he has not been good. I do hope Rod Jensen is able to bring something that has been missing.

Also, last week JD picked up another verbal in Kayla Washington. She is a stat machine at post for her high school, but she is undersized at 6 foot. Last season she averaged 28.1 points, 16.1 rebounds, 4.6 steals and 3.2 assists. As a sophomore, she was 21.7 points and 14.0 rebounds, and freshman 17.3 points and 19.8 rebounds per game.

She will have to play as an undersized 4 or try to make it as a 3.
