It's driving me crazy. We start running away with it, get up 10-0, then it's one penalty after another, mostly ticky-tack but severe. Next thing you know it's less than a 1 point game.

Always found the air raid siren they play after TDs - which recalls military/WWII - ludicrous for the Huskies.

Not sure how many people know the Cougs' last season was 1942 and they didn't come back until 1945 when the war was ending... the Huskies, meanwhile, never missed a beat and played all seasons. They are truly the bluebloods of NW football; the onetime equivalent of draft dodgers who couldn't be bothered to storm beaches as long as sports were still on.

And that is the legacy I think of whenever I hear the air raid siren.
