Oregon game time

I'll be there. Game time is awesome.

A year ago, on 9-17-22, Brock Huard joined my at our table on Friday at The COUG as we had lunch together. That was for the USC game. Would be nice if FOX assigns him for the Oregon game.

The Rams have not scored in the first half this year. They've also given up 15 sacks in two games, eight on Saturday.
I always think these comments are funny because fans/alumni focusing on CSU isn’t going to make the players focus on them any more.
That said CSU looks like a mess. This should be a game you come in focused to absolutely blast them in the first half, get right on offense in particular, and get backups valuable reps in the second half while resting starters at the 1/4 point in the season.
Will this happen? 20 year old kids who knows.

Colorado State has lost 8 games in a row dating back to last season. They have a new head coach and an already suspect offensive line has been decimated by injury this year.

You can never make assumptions, as teams tend to make big strides in week #3. They have a solid QB and are a program that historically plays good ball. They played at Michigan to open the season, so we won't be an environment that catches them off guard. With all of that said, we should roll in this one; particularly on the defensive side of the ball. It would be great to get our starters, including Cam Ward, out of the game in the 3rd quarter.

Would be great to see what Xavier Ward looks like

The only thing I'm thinking about this week is last time we played them. We were a 6 point favorite by kickoff, and it wasn't supposed to be a good game.

We led by as many as 22. We led by 15 with 4:17 left in the game. That last 4:17 was, I believe, the most epic meltdown I'd seen by an entire WSU team to that point (rivaled by 2012 Colorado and most of the 2005 season, surpassed by 2019 UCLA).

Our offense and special teams lost fumbles on 3 consecutive plays, and our defense gave up 2 TDs, a 2-pt conversion, and a FG, and we lost 48-45. This was the first - and the most glaring - example of what Texas Tech fans warned us about - Leach would lose games that we should win, and we'd be mystified by his bizarre lack of clock management.

Anyway, CSU has pretty much sucked since then, but that's meaningless. Add to that the fact that this is the classic "trap game," sandwiched between Wisconsin and Oregon, and I'm not counting on anything.

Oregon plays BYU this week, BYU is 12th or 14th in the polls depending on which one you look at. So after having the week off versus Eastern, they have a real game this week. I watched the last part of the BYU/Baylor game, each team tried to give that game away, BYU misses field goal at the end of regulation which would have won the game. Then they both go scoreless in their first OT possession, two more missed field goals, one by each, don't think I have seen that before.
