Jonah Moi has 2 to play 2. He's likely to mostly sit this fall. But the Phil Knight Club's allure is what matters.

He's (likely) going to TCU, though.
I suspect there might be even tougher competition there, given TCU's tradition on defense, but I haven't checked TCU's roster.

You recruit for two reasons: to fill a need and to keep players from filling a need at the competition. While the days of unlimited scholarship and USC having 165 kids on scholie are long over, 85 still allows you to deprive a number of players from other schools. As for Phil Knight, I have been paid to say that recruiting at Oregon is entirely above board and transparent.

I want Moi, and everyone that's committed for that matter..but I really really want to keep broughton, mason, Molton, luani whose already signed. I'm stoked about the stars and quality of all the offers. But we need immediate help in the secondary, and any improvement back there will only make this team better and our receuiting better in the following years.

Oregon didn't offer Moi to keep him away from WSU.

Maybe that kind of thing happens, at times, between Michigan & Ohio St, or Alabama & Auburn, but I very much doubt Oregon concerns itself with WSU's recruiting.
