Nation's #124 prospect. Played last year at Jefferson HS in Portland and averaged 31 ppg, 10 rpg, 5 apg. This year, the 6-4 combo guard is playing in Arizona. OSU wants him really, really bad.

We have been on this guy for ages and ages. Think we were his first offer in Basketball and then they also went after him in football. He quit football to concentrate on basketball and went to AZ. Coach Shaw has a long relationship so we are in the mix.

Wasn't there another Portland Jefferson HS guy who had actually verballed to WSU a couple of years ago but ended up focusing on football and got a scholarship with Oklahoma? I wonder how it's going for him on the gridiron?

Nathan Rawlins-Kibonge (6-7” PF) is the player we offered that also went to Jefferson.

Washington looks like a good one.

I think what you said makes it about a 37% to 69% chance, Smith, WSU gets him, especially if, when WSU has a awesome year.

Whats the situation between him, and the Arizona, Ore St, etc, coaches? Does he have the same long relationship with any of the other suitors? Have any others been on him as long and hard as WSU, Ore St.

I cant imagine he goes to the mess that Arizona program is in because of their recruiting violations.

So I think it will come down to either WSU or Ore St, with maybe Ore St having the slight edge.

I would kind of be shocked, surprised, if he went to Arizona, and even more shocked, surprised if he goes to Texas.

I think that Ore St is either tied, or has slight edge with WSU. 3. #3 is Arizona. 4. #4 is Texas.

Also another reason why WSU might get him, is Ore St under tinkle hasnt gotten recruits rated this high, like Smith, WSU has.

That WSU is heavily in Mix, has serious chance to get the kid, over Arizona, Texas, etc, is awesome, amazing.

The kid would be another awesome get feather is Smith's, WSU' s cap.

Even if Smith, WSU doesnt get the kid, Smith eventually will have one of these go his way.

Smith is just doing such a awesome Job recruiting

He won't be going to Arizona. They aren't in his final five. I'm more concerned about Texas or Texas A&M, both good programs with excellent recruiting head coaches. But I think the Cougs have a decent chance at landing him.

I'm more concerned about Ore St. Tinkle apparently wants him bad, and has relationship, been on him hard. And how Ore St made the Elite 8. And Ore St being more local, etc.

Texas, and Texas A&M are historically good programs, but they arent as good now as they have historically been. Also I think they are probably relatively newcomers on recruiting him, and probably dont have as big a relationship, been on him as long and as hard as Tinkle and Smith have. And they just dont have the shaw lile connection, shaw has. And they are from a extremely long way away. And with covid still being a thing, combined with all of those thimgs, I just dont think the kid will goto the Texas Colleges.

I think this is between Ore St and WSU, and that WSU, and Ore St are probably the front running co favorites.

I thought that U of A in his top 5 was Arizona. But maybe that's Auburn from the SEC

He was recruited heavily by Barret Perry when he was coach at Portland State and that relationship seems to have continued. Lamar has visited Perry’s new school Texas Tech (Associate head coach) and had good things to say but….he didn’t commit.
