I'm heartbroken.
Yep, well aware of that. Oh wellA lot of Cougars in Spokane actually are heartbroken. The "zags" are their team.
I'm glad Tennessee volunteered to do the honors.
And Cougs lose to a 3-5 Montana St. Frikkin embarrassing.I'm heartbroken.
No they aren’t. Although I did enjoy them beating UW. They could have dropped another 30 on them though.A lot of Cougars in Spokane actually are heartbroken. The "zags" are their team.
I see your points however my distaste for their program has absolutely nothing to do with the Cougs success or lack thereof. I would feel the same way about them if we were 20-0 or 0-20.Cougs spend way too much time trying to project why a Coug basketball fan might follow Gonzaga. I don’t live or die by them at all but it’s hard not to be aware of their success when GU basketball leads every sportscast and every game is on ESPN.
For me, it’s pretty simple - WSU gave up on basketball the day Moos hired his buddy. Probably before that but giving his pal a job was an absolutely horrible hire. The style of ball isn’t appealing, the kids try hard but they’re not very good. Last but not least, they’re not competitive against peer competition. And we’re stuck with more of the same for another couple years. Whereas GU goes toe to toe against the big boys like Duke and UNC. Far more compelling to watch, speaking from a strictly love-of-the-game perspective.
If there ever comes a day when WSU is even middle of the Pac, it might be worth some saber rattling to give GU crap for not scheduling WSU. Until then, they are playing 3D chess and WSU is playing tic-tac-toe. They’re going to rack up between 25 and 30 wins again and I guarantee you won’t see a single post on their message boards regaling a WSU loss.
Very. And Cougs lose to a 3-5 Montana St. Frikkin embarrassing.

I'll take GU over UW. But happy to see GU lose...a dose of humility may be good for them.
Actually even worse. Montana State was 2-6 coming into the game with wins vs. University of North Dakota and NAIA school Presentation College. They had lost by 40 to Utah State, 45 to Indiana (scoring 35 points in that one but getting 95 against EK's Cougars) and by 24 points to Nebraska-Omaha. Awful, just awful. And Cougs lose to a 3-5 Montana St. Frikkin embarrassing.
