OT: The fair catch field goal

When I talk about one of the paths for WSU being just hiring a good football coach who can really coach the hell out of a moderately undertalented roster, this kind of thing isn't the focus, but it's part of the picture. Think about how many times WSU has played some G of 5 (or lower) team that just had a good coach who outcoached WSU's coaches in a bowl game or out of conference game.

Check out this article ... that special teams coach was on the ball and has been for years. Think Dickert or any of his assistants would have this on their radar? (As an aside, I also love Gus Edwards' quotes ... surprised they'd even print those. Haha.)

Hasn’t happened since the 70s. It’s a really odd rule. I’m sure harbaugh had no idea until someone radio’s down to him.

Completely changed the momentum going into half too. I think Denver wins if that doesn’t happen. Dumb call by Payton not to kneel on it and go into half up 2 scores.

There hasn't been a successful conversion since the 70s. It was attempted in 2019 but missed.
