OT Thread

I have a few illegitimate bigfoot stories....just the highlights:

My mom's first cousin lived in Bossberg for most of her life. Her house was about 100 yards from where Ivan Marx lived in the late '60's/early '70's while being sponsored in his bigfoot hunting by Argosy magazine. He had snowmobiles, new 4x4's and every toy imaginable, paid for by Argosy. There were related articles in the magazine (to which my dad had a subscription, so I got to read the articles). The prevailing view among the Bossberg locals was that he had a great scam going. All this led to his 1971 film footage. That area had several previously reported bigfoot sightings, all by people either considered to be some combo of crooked/shysters/drunks, or having been set up by one of those folks. My mom's side of the family had lived in that area for generations and found the whole bigfoot thing to be quite amusing.

My wife (Anthro grad) was in several of Grover Krantz's classes. She enjoyed him, though she thought he was a bit far out there. He visited the Upper Columbia/Kettle River region several times, and even ended up interviewing another distant cousin who had come across some bigfoot tracks. Our operating assumption was that somebody made the tracks with the intent of having others find them.

So no, no legit bigfoot stories from me. UFO's, on the other hand, are another story. My dad saw one in the early '60's where we lived in Rockford. But that is another story.

Nobody does, because Bigfoot doesn’t exist. If there was such a creature, a dead one would have been found by now. At least some hair, teeth…something.

Yeah, I'd believe there were aliens coming here, even if from a multidimensional universe or something else to explain the difficulties of space being so huge, before I believed there actually was Sasquatch extant right now on earth. At some point, someone would have found a trace, and it's so easy to find reasons for the stories (mistakes, drunk/inebriated people, lies, stories to scare kids to keep them from going places they shouldn't, bears, pranks, etc.).

You should start a thread for UFOs.

Geezus, a voice of reason, C'mon Biggsy, you can do better than this.

Bigfoot is from a multidimensional universe. He is an alien.

Has this sighting from 1967 been offically debunked?

Which of you has legit bigfoot stories?

And if any of you dumb fckers start with politics I will send bigfoot to your house.
I have a friend who makes these really cool metal Sasquatch renderings . Maybe he will send me a pic and I can post it . The dude is really talented .

not real. But that squatchers show was worth some laughs. The guy doing the Bigfoot “calls” was great. Can’t recall if he rubbed “Bigfoot piss” on himself too or exactly how far they took it.

Simply because of the number of stars, planets, exoplanets, and environments, I absolutely believe there’s life on other worlds. Whether we’d recognize it is another question entirely. It may not be carbon based, and it’s likely it would look very different. Whether any alien creatures have been to earth is a different question. Doesn’t seem highly likely, but there have been incidents and observations that are tough to explain.
How many dead bear are found?
Not a lot, but not zero. More dead bear than dead Bigfoot.

Biggs, thanks for starting this. Firmly tongue in cheek! 😉😁🤔🤔🤔😏

I've heard on good authority that the Patterson-Gimlin film (the one from the 60s where the squatch looks back at the camera that Biggs posted above) was fake. FWIW.

I agree with Mike Leach on this- someone would have found a dead one by now if Bigfoot is real and has been seen as often as the "sightings" suggest.
