Needs to put the long term needs of the conference first and foremost. Many will say "of course", but I am talking about not taking half measures for the short term benefit or being short sighted about the future of media (like not taking the ATT deal, or finding a way to make it work.)
We are going to be the victims of east coast bias in this entire situation, meaning that the corporate media powers that be are going to believe the B12 leadership over P10 leadership about who can make more money and who has better viewership potential, EVEN if the numbers show otherwise. This is nothing new, I'm just pointing out that if we try to play the same game as the east coast conferences, we'll lose every time, just like we're losing now.
Part of being a westerner is having a pioneer spirit, and its what I believe the P10 needs to embrace if we are to be successful moving forward. I said it right when this whole business started - do our own thing and make the rest of them come to us. Create a product that will put FOMO in the hearts of our rivals. Go big or go home, because the alternative is - you're going home anyway.
