Pac-12 Preseason Media Poll

Can’t really argue, other than pointing to the tendency of the LA schools to underperform.
Other than UCLA being too high, the list isn't terrible. I would have gone with:
1) Utah (back to back champs)
2) USC (haven't proven that they can beat Utah)
3) UW (looking forward to Penix leaving)
4) Oregon (I'd put them ahead of UW if they were playing in Autzen this year)
5) OSU (Smith is doing good things)
6) WSU (we might jump them since we get them in Pullman this year)
7) UCLA (new QB....we'll see what happens)
8) Arizona (JDL can't suck forever, right?)
9) ASU (Herm really dropped the ball towards the end and it's going to take time)
10) Cal (bad offense continue
11) CU (could be higher)
12) Stanford (Shaw should have left sooner)
The Buffaloes can certainly jump up on this list to #8 if Deion is worth having as a coach. They don't face UW and they have Arizona, ASU and Stanford on their schedule. 3-6 in conference and 5-7 overall would give Prime enough buzz to stave off the haters. Frankly, anything worse than that would be a failure in my view. I expect him to fail.
We could drop to #9 or #10 on the list pretty easily if our new linebackers don't step up. I'm also assuming that our OL and Cam don't suck as bad this year.
