Xavier Young was one of the more interesting kids in the 2021 class. Bit of a late bloomer with a good frame. That being said, COVID put four DT types who are also true freshman in his class and we don't graduate a single member of our DT rotation.

Mejia, Crowder, Pule, Hobbs, and Mujahid are back next year. Nicholas Sheetz and Ty Garay Harris would need to be passed on the depth chart as well. James, Carrell, Gusta, and Fa'amoe. This doesn't factor Echevarria working his way into reps. It's a crowded room and Edge isn't less competitive.

It curious how one could look at the performance of our DL and not envision themselves at getting a fair shot at reps or a starting within a season or at the most two.

With the emergence of Edson, the staff seems to let competition dictate PT A lot of coaches speak that, but rarely seems to be the case.
