Are you a WW2 veteran? Otherwise book smart is all there is. Calling everyone you don’t like Hitler dilutes the evil you want to associate with the term.

I’d be on board with a downsized Dept of Ed, with more local control. But there needs to continue to be federal ed and grad standards, and federal funding. State and local don’t have the mechanisms to replace that funding…and if it was granted to the states as pass-through funding, it would just result in more losses to administrative expenses.
