"I don't usually agree with John Hatchette, but when I do it's about Cougar Basketball."
--The most interesting poster in the world

The most humorous parts:

“We certainly wasted what was just a wonderful opportunity,” said WSU coach Ernie Kent, “with the crowd, the students, the community coming out to see this team play after playing so well on Thursday.

The crowd that had Kent so jazzed Saturday was 2,304.

Beasley holds, what, 11,000?

That’s just sad.
WSU at Seattle University at the ShoWare Center (great weather, free parking, great seats, no cable broadcast) drew just 1,977.

Half of those were WSU fans for arguably Seattle University's biggest non-conference non-UW game in decades.

They had a beer garden of sorts for SU boosters. (Some fat cheerleaders also)

Will need something stronger than beer to watch two years of Ernie ball. Valium? Prozac for the depression?

And can we start a pool on how many times in the next two years Ernie says "missed opportunity, no excuses, that's on me" or some derivative thereof. Damn straight no excuses. Sheesh

“No excuses. I’m scratching my head.”

If you're getting paid that kind of jack for basketball comedy, at least come up with some fresh material.

Tired and worn out. Hackneyed.

He should have said we just got beat. Oregon State is a solid team and the cougs are on the road. Las Vegas will make the Beavers a 11.5 pt favorite.

Facebook reminded me of the delusional early days of Ernie Kent's tenure. A couple weeks back, one of my Facebook "memories" was a post in January 2015 after we had beaten UW. I said that I was excited to have Ernie as coach and he was going to do great things. I was obviously very, very wrong. Four years later, we still have people making comments where they wonder if he can rebuild our program.

There is a simple answer to that question. No, he can't.

And four years into Wulff, you and others were opining for a fifth year (you know, the "Five Year Plan!") But we agree on Ernie. His time has long since passed.

Maybe Ernie can announce a verbal from Bishop Sankey?
