Is it just me or do the practice reports make it sound like Bender is really closing the gap on Falk? Could get very interesting in the next few weeks.
This is nothing against Britt… Truly. He's still here and I love his writing. But right now, the WSU coverage has changed in many facets. Between Hood AND Britt, then Chaz is out there for practice… I love this coverage we are getting. I'm fairly certain this is unprecedented. Keep it going guys!
I am not them, but it sounds like Abramo dinged himself up and has not been a full participant. Same old faces right now, who were fine in practice but bad in games last year. Looks like the guys punting have done nothing particularly good, but supposedly there is another walk on coming there as well....just what I have gathered from various reports.
Yes, Leach has been talking up Bender after the last couple of practices. But I still expect Falk to start on 9/5 and be the starter for most or all of the season. Bender should prove to be a capable backup. As long as they stay healthy, Cougs look set at QB for next couple of seasons at least. At some point (maybe next year) Hilinski will become a factor as well.
Agreed Falk will start. Bender will see time against PSU. I like we open with a cupcake this year. We should every year.
