Article makes it sound as if coach and AD have a strained relationship.

Maybe it's time to find a new coach? One who can inject excitement into the program by winning recruiting battles... one who can raise money... one who can produce a winning record.

I would venture that it is time to shut down the entire program. The money could be used elsewhere.

Here's the the thing, Marbut isn't well liked, by a lot of people. He isn't the long term solution for Moos, but we don't have the money for the facilities. Moos is content with baseball hovering around .500 until he can hire his guy. Grippi can say that the NCAA team was built off the field turf, but he's wrong. That team was built from one guy, Travis Jewitt, now the Assistant Head Coach at Vandy. Marbut has one year left on this deal, so I expect something to happen next spring.

So you want to drop out of the Pac 12? You do understand that each conference team has to field so many programs and I believe the Cougars are at the minimum now.

Why do half of your comments always have to be extreme?

I never thought I'd say this but I think soccer for baseball has some merrit. If I was to go to Seattle for a weekend I'd prefer a Sounders game to a Mariners game (unless Felix was pitching). Baseball is so slowwwwww.

Of course I do have some A.D.D tendencies........

I would like to add Soccer but not at the expense of baseball. While it's not a "major" sport it's still consider "marquee" by a lot of people and WSU does have tradition.

I'd be ok with men's soccer and softball both being added once the funds are available, if they're available.

Moos should have let me leave last season. I've heard more negatives about Donnie from guys I know who's kids are in select leagues.

Men's soccer and softball should be the next varsity sports. Softball would be more costly due to the investment in a new stadium.

I do not think that is the way to go either. I am a huge Sounders and Mariner fan. I never liked when people play one sport against another. They both are great sports that are different.

WSU is at the forefront of title 9. I don't believe you'll see ANY men's sports added until women's sports have an equal amount of scholarships as the men.

Don't hold your breath.

?? That would be a slap to the memory of Bobo....El-kabong's posts are seldom any good, and this one is worse than his usual moronic babblings. Cougs have a great tradition in baseball; and in fact, one could make the case that it was in baseball and track where coug sports really shone. Dumping baseball for soccer? Poor choice. Too much tradition and success. The "social work professional" needs to get back to his high school homework
