Powell was slow to increase rates, you know back when inflation was transitory. If there is concern about economic slow down cutting before the shit has hit the fan, sprayed onto the wall and dried seems like a better move than waiting for all that to happen. Besides that, there is the issue of security regarding that plane, it could be very problematic to verify 100% that there are no risks associated with accepting that plane.
