Reproducibility crisis? Repetition and reproducibility is a cornerstone of scientific research, and it happens all. the. time. Every study that gets published gets picked up by others, and if there’s anything useful to pursue then every grad student and every commercial researcher in every similar lab tries to do it themselves. If it’s replicated, the science moves forward. If it’s not, well…back to square one.

The US steel mills manipulate the market. As soon as the tariffs go on, the US mills slow roll their production. They limit the steel into the market on their end, the steel from other countries costs more…. They are essentially given the opportunity by trump to hold their thumb on the scale. The US mills are fcking American buyers on price to pad their own pockets. Not surprised. But dont tariff steel from outside sources only to fck me on price from domestic sourcing.

During trump’s first disasteous term, my price went up 250%. It’s up 50% now. It isnt stopping. At this point I will call my suppliers office in Vancouver and inquire about paying the tariff myself and bringing it over.

Dont demand that I buy American steel when they’re price gouging me harder than what they get from Mexico and Canada. Im not surprised that US mills champion trump because he gives them the opportunity to charge higher prices.

For those wondering…. Chinese steel imports are wayyyy down. Could be at an all time low.
