May not be the best but this is good news. With rain through the night and in the morning, that will clear up the smoke (or the possibility of it) quickly and kickoff will be on time.
Good news for the smoke. Bad news for my 50 year old eyes. I always enjoy the September games. I won't elaborate.
Agreed. But there are still contingency plans if the air pollution content reaches a certain number, believe it or not. I don't think it'll be an issue but I'd rather have this weather than what we had 10 days ago...
Yes. This sucks. No one can put a good spin on that forecast. Sept is supposed to be at least mid 70s and gorgeous.
Here's my attempt at a positive spin: rain is most likely before 11AM, then should turn to showers. Chance of rain is lowest during the period from 11-3, at 30-50%.
Downside(s) though: temp throughout the game is forecast at about 50, and NWS says there's a possibility of a thunderstorm after 11AM. That doesn't seem too likely at 50 degrees, but a suspension for lightning in the middle of a game that's cool and rainy is a pretty terrible scenario for September.
