Put your religious and political views aside….

The conundrum for WSU is that 5-6 of our coaches may not be vaccinated. WSU is going to do everything they can to at least delay the termination until season end.
I'm not so sure, he's thumbing his nose at the state and the school. Whatever the outcome of the exemption request is the decision regarding his future has very likely already been made. I also doubt that the decision makers on his future are going to allow him to call the shots. If he gets away with his bogus religious claim so wil every other state employee

So why hasn’t Chun pulled the trigger already? If the decision has been made, buy him out, part amicably, and move away from this as quickly as possible.

Patrol, all of that is desirable and makes a lot of sense...but cannot happen if any other Univ employees get their walking papers for the same issue.

And when he goes into the house of a an or oline man where the parents are vaxers, then what?

Hopefully we aren’t recruiting too many kids who are hung up on vax status.
He tries to get in the next JDL's house to speak to the player and the parents to sell himself and the university. Mom is getting treatment for a cancer, or a younger brother has medical complications, or a dad is obese. Or the parents take care of grandparents and don't want the risk passed to the grandparents. That does not include the 40% of the people or more that feel strongly in a political position. So that leaves less than 60% of a pool to drawn from...potentially.

He’s going to have to protect himself. What if gets Covid from a vaxed parent.

You conference call with her and her son and say this.

“Look, you’ve probably heard that I’m not vaccinated. I can assure you that the risk I bring to your family is nothing compared to the campus life your son will experience. Lifting and training unmasked. Interacting and partying with 100s of unmasked kids everyday, banging multiple unmasked women, chugging from the same beer bong as 50 other kids who are also banging multiple chics. You know what I mean Ms. recruit? He’s being recruited to colleges with enrollments of 15-30k kids.”

That’s how I’d explain it. With a smile on my masked face, of course.

On my way out of Pullman I saw Chun by GNC, Planet Fitness and the dollar store. Maybe he had to go into the dollar store because the budget is so out of whack.

Anyway, maybe they found a way to keep him and defy the mandate, as he didn't look like he was going into a planning session to see what to do next without Rolo, and he wasn't going into the hardware store to sharpen his ax.

If Inslee and the school blink on this one, then they have zero cred statewide to mandate the vaccine, the kids won't have to get vaxed, the 2022 freshman class will not have to be vaxed, and if a new variant steps up, we will just have to live with it.

And 11, I will say this...if others were like Delta, who fined their employees $200 a month so they would get vaxed, and if the rest of the businesses and states were 90% vaxed, there wouldn't be a need for a mandate.

But I must say I have come around to your line of thinking. Choice. And the person who convinced me was Jim Jordan, who wants to draft a bill that outlaws all vaccine mandates. People choose not to get the polio vax, let them in public schools. The Shawn Kemp method of preventative action.

BTW did you see the Coug of the game they honored at half? It was a freshman I believe who soon after her father dropped her off to Pullman he got covid and passed away. I guess just the luck of the draw.

Who is going to have to protect himself? Why....ASU coaches are vaxed. Lake is? Shaw? The next coach at USC. Whittingham is too. A matter of fact, every head coach he will be in competition with is vaxed. There is only one who is not.

This whole situation sucks. I don’t honestly know what WSU should do. I think Rolo’s a damn fool for not getting vaxed, but I absolutely hate mandating people to do things, mainly because of the precedent it sets.

One of my doctor clients told me this, and it stuck with me. He said, I was never a fan of Colin Kapernick kneeling during the anthem, but annoying as they are sometimes, we need people to take stands.

Then take a stand against all vaccines … not just covid …

I thought I read in some paper that a large number of religious exemptions had already been made. But that only a handful of accommodations had been granted. I can’t find the damn article. So this may come down to the accommodations side of things rather than him getting an exemption. Should be interesting regardless.

Why? This one has so many unique political intangibles associated with it. That shouldn’t be the case, but it is. Red state policy / Blue state policy. Shelter at home / open the economy. Mask / maskless. I don’t trust anything Trump is fast tracking / I don’t trust anything Biden says. A flood of social and mainstream media sources offering conflicting advice.

It’s been an absolute $hit show.

So what … they are protesting getting a vaccine. Don’t mandate it . That is the rally cry . Open up all vaccines . At this point I am ok with that.
