I'm guessing he's pinching himself right about now. It wasn't but a few months ago that he was sitting back, resigned that his playing days were pretty much over and looking forward to beginning a career in coaching.
Then the phone rings and everything changed.

Life is full of interesting twists and turns. He's fun to watch in this offense.

And in his interviews he comes across as a hell of a nice guy. Just enough southern "Aw shucks" without seeming like a redneck , for lack of a better word.

Can't think of any 1st year player making such an impact in any sport.

Mark Pattison (fabulous until his season ending injury) and Kegel were at least on the team as back ups before taking over.

His coaching stock shot through the roof with an NCAA leading year to point to. This is huge beyond belief. Let’s hope we destroy the ducks and set the stage for a PAC 12 title run.
