QB rating

Probably about where he is now. Anywhere between 140-150. He needs to keep that tempo up, but if he can do that and be accurate he'll do extremely well.

He'll probably be our best 1st year starter in QBR since Brink after that year he split with swogger. He had a 140 QBR for the year. More experience than Falk had to start this year but that is close.

Gesser's 1st year was 132 and his senior year was 146. Fun fact. Gesser's senior year including the rose bowl he threw for 28 TDs. Falk is on pace to throw for 36 in just the regular 12 game season. Which is also more than Ryan Leaf's last year.

Yeah going back through if he has 141+ rating by the end of the year it would be the greatest QBR ever by a first year starter in our history.

Falk at 148

Halliday last year at 145

Falk last year at 140

It's early, but where do you guys think Falk will end up?

I have October 3rd circled on my calendar. Cal really worries me. They have always (well, at least for a long time) been known for their offense...but holding SDSU to 7 points?? If Luke comes out of that one with a solid game: say, 60-65% completions, 3 TDs, 1 or 0 pics, that likely means that Falk is a true rising star, and rising FAST!

We'll know more about CAL the next two weeks against Texas and the uw. The CAL game was on the TV next to the Coug game in the bar I was watching the Rutgers game. They did not look like a dominant team. Even statistically, SDSU wasn't that far behind CAL. Plus, both SDSU QB's were awful and they haven't been a high scoring team in recent years either.

OK, I feel a little better.....

CAL scored with eleven seconds left in the 2nd quarter to finally take the lead at 14-7. Otherwise, SDSU outplayed them the first half. If they had a decent QB, SDSU may have lead going into the half.
