Ra'shjon and Jhayon are a 6'3 PG and a 610-230 PF who have been offered by the cougs. Amusingly they are rated as 2 stars and are 2020 prospects. Jhayron has also been offered by Gonzaga and other schools. As 2 stars they will be heavily recruited but Coach Haskins is in early on their recruitment.I really think that many other schools other than WSU will be after the duo.: )

That s the old school spirit, Maybe the players who were on his Elite Eight team might disagree with you? The Martinez Bros are a good possibility for next year s recruiting contrary to some fans opinions. These guys are three stars with good potential. The Kentucky s of the World are not involved at this point. t looks like Coach Haskins is involve.

Has WSU seen ANYTHING like EK's Elite Eight players come to Pullman? A majority of EK's recruits have not even been Pac-12 level. It is encouraging WSU seems to be trying to recruit higher, but the track record has been abominable under EK.

My "spirit" is backing WSU's basketball program's improvement. We can do so much better than Ernie Kent.

I guess that time will tell The Pullman gig is a tough one and perhaps Kent has solved it with his new coaching staff?? Obviously Kent has to produce a winning season or he may be looking for another gig. i believe that the cougs will have a winning season.

I’m optimistic that the new JC players are better than the JC players brought in over the past four years but I doubt any of them will produce more than Flynn. None of them were rated higher than Acquaah out of high school so I’m just hoping for improvement over the course of the year that will lead to optimism going into the following year. We have a very week preseason but I still doubt we will have a winning record.

The nonconference schedule is so bad that they should easily have at least 8 or 9 wins heading
Into conference they are all bottom tier teams they are playing. The only challenging game
Is at new Mexico. This schedule is definitely not about building RIP ranking it's
about saving jobs.

Actually more like building a winning team. I rather have them win 10-12 games before the PAC 12 games than lose 5-6 games I guess that people will bitch if that happens. Also Flynn was sparsely recruited and not rated highly, He had one other offer but did produce last year. The juco guys are either late developers or had grade problems Flynn had the academic credentials but was rated poorly. He has very poor defensive skills and was a shoot first PG. I am beginning to think that he was a spoiled brat who thought more of himself than the team. I for one am glad he left. I will venture to say that the team chemistry is much better than the last two years. I believe that Ray Charles and Helen Keller will be able to see that.Any one person want to bet $100 on if the cougs have a winning record next year?

I never heard any grumbling about bad chemistry? Never saw anything on the court that looked to me like there was a problem.

Flynn's problem was being only an average percentage shooter as a shoot first point guard. Wasnt a good enough defender to play the 2 either. Thought the kid fought hard. The bigger problem was Acquaah turning the ball over constantly with no jumpshot to keep defenses honest.

With Flynn and Franks we should have been better last season. Not going to lay it all on Flynn, because there were too many games where Franks disappeared for stretches too

Franks was mostly "stretch" but he has the skills to do more. His confidence seemed to still be developing last year. Hoping he can expand his game on both ends.
