Rolovich expectations part deux

If you think women don't keep receipts, fine. Politicians keep them too. So do people arguing over the internet have been known to keep them too. Typically the dumber the comments (and the more obstinate the poster) easier it is to bring these comments up again.

So now you are equating women and politicians keeping receipts from 8 yrs ago to obsessing about what someone said on a sports message board 8 yrs ago?

I'll help you out since I am a nice guy.

People(and women and politicians too!) keep receipts for important financial transactions.,,because they deem them important. Most would consider what someone says on a sports msg board on an innocuous topic unimportant.

Most would also consider someone who obsesses about what someone wrote on a sports msg board 8 yrs ago as very weird.

We've actually had pleasant back and forth on other topics. I do think this discussion will cool down with time. Crazy how we had a Brink/Swogger/Rogers thread recently without it turning into a flame war. Those discussions were toxic back in the day and time seems to have vindicated both sides to some extent: Brink's AC wins look pretty good in light of recent history and his failure to get to a bowl insured a lost decade for Cougar football. Time and distance gives perspective

You hear the same responses a lot because the arguments you make w/r/t Leach are recycled versions of the "he'll never get it done" stuff. The more success Rolo has, the less you'll hear about it, because we are all Cougar partisans and want the team to succeed.

I'd hope we have the same standards for Rolo was we had for Leach. So he's not getting 5 years in my eyes. Assuming nothing goes dramatically sideways, I'm expecting the program to be have winning record after his third season because he got dealt a strong enough hand to do that.

Yeah I'm really excited about this hire. I expect growing pains but I think we'll be ok.

And controlling the LOS with three guys is going to stop every offensive scheme ever developed.
I have been thinking about this for a while. I was at every losing Apple Cup except for this last one. I watched a little of the last one on TV the other day.

The first few years, the uw was the better team. The uw were ready, fired up and played great. The last few years, because they were on a loosing streak, the losing streak got into the Cougars heads. Plus, in 2018, that freak storm changed everything.

What really struck me was that in the games, the lines got their butts kicked. They could play USC, Oregon, etc., teams with better offensive and defensive lineman than the uw, and matched them just fine. Then, the Apple Cup comes and WSU cannot block three lineman. On defense, they couldn't put pressure on the QB.

The game was definitely in the players heads and I think it also was in Leach's head. Unfortunately.
