Rosario Commits

Going to be a blast to watch this team. I enjoyed watching men's shooty-hoops last season and they play hard and excited to see their progress from Y1 to Y2, especially on the defensive end of the ball. Offense will come in time, especially once one or two shooters from the new class make some noise.

It is going to be interesting to see what happens. I read the kid of Macedonia is (possibly?) in? That would mean CJ is all but gone? If CJ comes back (and there is a season...) it's going to be a fun season.

Some highlights of Rosario. Good wingspan which we are seeing a lot of in who we recruit. Has some skills but needs work.

Staff has done a pretty amazing job recruiting their first full year. They are going to have bumps especially if Elleby goes but I'm pretty excited for next year as well.

I wonder if they are asking Andrej Jakimovski from Macedonia to wait?

What a nice bit of news! I like beating out Utah for a player....and I think Rosario could end up being the best of the WSU recruiting class. Smith & his staff deserve a lot of credit for hustling for players– quality players at that.

What a class by the staff. Top 50 and a bunch of nice players with length. This coach is the best we have had in a long while and the staff is just outstanding.

If CJ leaves and we are no worse then we were this year (.500) I would be okay with that in Y2. If CJ returns I think there could be some pleasant surprises.

But Jakimovski looks good, I wonder if the writing is on the wall for someone like Kunc? But otherwise, maybe they're asking him to wait...not sure. Good problem to have, I suppose.

Good article especially the comments from Rosario's high school coach.
I agree. Very good article. I think there is a possibility that two of the players in this class may be very underrated due to their circumstances. I think both Rosario and Abogidi could end up being steals. Abogidi being injured for almost two years and being, I think from Senegal by way of Australia, he may turn out to be much better than the recruiting analysist think. Same with Rosario, who came from the Dominican Republic, not even starting most of this past season. He has untapped potential. I am very excited.

Very excited too about all five recruits....and those two in particular. Just a slight correction, the article indicated that Rosario didn't start until the last 5 games of his junior season. He was a starter for his entire senior season, apparently, and averaged roughly 15 ppg.

Oops! My mistake. Still, late bloomer as far as being evaluated and thankfully, recruited. Looking forward to him signing and watching him play. I am really looking forward to next year.

I'm so stoked about this recruiting class.

1. Carlos Rosario, 6' 7" 180, 3/4 G/F HYBRID, GUY WILLIAMS, MAGIC JOHNSON like, esque, that can play the 2/3/4 spots. A 4, FOUR STAR, 23rd ranked player at his position in nation, top 125 player in Nation.

2. 6' 11" Dishon Jackson. 5/4 Center/Power Forward. 4 star, about top 129 player in Nation.

3. Jefferson, a 2/3 combo guard. As arguably the best recruit out of Canada, is the equal of a 4 star

4. 6' 10" Agobidi, Center/PF/5/4. NBA Academy, was scheduled to, was going to being be a NBA fast tracked into NBA via NBA G League, before INJURY. WAS the equal of a 4.5 star, before INJURY. Now is equal to 3.5 star.

5. TJ Bamba, a 1,2,3 combo, semi point guard. 3.5 star.

ON PAPER, this recruiting class is the highest rated, ranked within the Top 50 with 3, THREE, 4, FOUR STARS, most talented, most athletic, most freakish athleticism, most potential, most upside, more Mc Donald's All American Nominee's, more Parade All American Nominee's, more ACCOLADES, more BIG TIME OFFERS, more big time colleges beat out, more of everything, etc, then in almost any basketball recruiting class in WSU History, and certainly either in, or worthy of being one of the Top 3 to top 10 recruiting classes in either entire WSU history, an or within the last 33 to 53 years at WSU. One would have to go back to Raveling's, best class, with Guy Williams, Stuart House, etc, an or Sampson's Bennie Seltzer, Terrence Lewis, Neil Derrick, Tony Harris, etc, class to either equal, or be better then this class, ON PAPER, ON PAPER, ON PAPER, ON PAPER, according to STATS, RESULTS, PRODUCTION, ACCOLADES, HONORS, RANKINGS, ETC.

This class DISPELS MYTHS, that SUPPOSEDLY neither WSU, nor WSU coaches, can land a top 25 to top 50 recruiting class. That can't get 4 star recruits. That can't beat out the better, semi best colleges for 4 stars, etc.

When was the last time WSU had, 3, THREE, 4,FOUR STAR RECRUITS, or 4 star equal equivalents,
IN THE SAME ONE CLASS, YEAR, ETC, like WSU has in this class?

Landing 3,4, 4 stars in one class, is something, usually only UCLA, ARIZONA, etc, does.

If Smith develops the recruits well, sends a couple, few, some to the NBA, semi consistently wins 20 to 27 games in a couple, few seasons, goes to NCAA sweet 16, elite 8, etc, and if Smith stays at WSU for a while, then Smith/WSU would might probably continue to recruit at such a high level like this, and turn WSU into a BYU, Gonzaga, as this is how Gonzaga, BYU, etc, got built into what they are now, and have been.

But OH NO WSU doesn't get 4 stars. WSU doesn't beat out top colleges for 4 stars. And Smith sucks, is the worst recruiter.

At least according to EL C.

LMAO.
