I see the full roster is finally listed at the official site. All the new recruits are shown (except the recent transfer). The two walk-ons are also listed (Sonneborn and Chatfield).

Still no update on the third assistant.

I see Elleby, Robinson, Cannon, and Pollard as locks to start. The 5th spot could be one of Henson, James, or Kunc.
 
I was looking at the roster. Didn't realize there were only 11 scholarship players.

Just realized James not on it

Chatfield has some potential down the road. I watched him play once about a year ago and had him pegged as a low level D-1 player with serious upside. He is surprisingly athletic for a small school post. Raw but athletic. It would be a few years of solid development but the potential for him to be a contributor is there. Usually guys like this end up transferring to a level more suited to where they originally belonged but I would like to see him stick around just to watch his development.

As long as there's athleticism, there's a chance he'll contribute, or should contribute assuming the coaching is there (and it is).
 
Hmm all the" solid recruits"being brought in and not one starter among them. Te walk ons are just plain hamburger and they will move on
 
I kind of like this roster. Elleby and Cannon are players. Robinson is at least adequate at pg. Pollard is the experienced blue collar banger who will never hurt you. Kunc has a ton of upside. James should help more than Bernstein did as a grad transfer.

Well EK showed up to the BBQ with no meat, buns, or condiments, so at least there's food. Glad you're finally "aboard"...

EK used to host a barbecue The" food" is still being provided by EK. Dufus has seemingly brought the condiments and they may make a good cheer leading squad. That is a good observation. If EK s new recruits had stayed the roster would look good.The players have experience so one should expect better play from them.
 
How can any rational person justify a complete hatred for Ken Bone and the job he did at WSU and think Kent deserved more time? Bone out coached Kent in every aspect and was fired and probably rightfully so. How then can anybody argue for retaining Kent when he was one of the worse coaches ever to grace the Palouse. No offense after the break, no defense ever, no out of bounds plays what so ever, terrible roster management and very sub par recruiting. This years recruits are better than what Kent had coming in and that was done with a time and visits available handicap. Things are definitely trending up but hey they couldn’t of gotten any worse.

Lone voice in the wilderness. Probably will be the only so-called Cougar fan to root against WSU and the new coach. Best to ignore fans like that.

I don't believe Ryan Murphy (who ended up at the Pittsburgh dumpster fire) or Nigel Johns (at a prep school due to poor advice in his inner circle) are upgrades over Isaac Bonton or our 7 foot Ukrainian.

Murphy is a volume shooter and Johns has folks in his inner circle who are going to push for multiple transfers in search of more playing time.

Not sure how many times I can state my feelings on this recruiting class. I like Rodman and Williams a lot. Tony Miller is really intriguing, and I imagine he's gone after this year if he's not starting. His entourage thinks he's NBA material. Rapp and our Ukrainian center are long term projects. Not sure if either work out, but they are guys who we took a flier on because we got a late start on everything without visits.

Everyone should be far more concerned about next year's class. If Smith isn't able to land some interesting pieces this year, I'll start to get worried.
 
Its all about energy and work along with connections. This staff has lots of both and did a remarkable job with limited visits left.

I look for some interesting foreign players to join in the next class. Verbal Commits has most of the info on them.

Also think we will get some pieces, but its going to take some wins to get recruiting going again. You can't finish dead last or next door and get many good players. Pac12 is tough league.

Did they really take a flier on Rapp? He had committed to the staff when they were at San Francisco. So, they obviously liked him a lot.
