Just in case of interest: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39005847/fbs-rosters-grow-205-transfer-players-2023.

There are some stats given about which rosters had the most, how many QB transfers, and other stuff.

Deion's quote from the article -- given originally on 60 Minutes -- is a gem:

"You take a team that's won one game, and you fired a whole coaching staff. So who did the coaching staff recruit? The kids," Sanders said during a "60 Minutes" interview in September. "So, the kids are just as much to blame as the coaching staff. I came to the conclusion that a multitude of them couldn't help us get to where we wanted to go."

Overall quality of play is going to go down. You know how JC kids spend the first year just learning what they're doing and getting used to the level of competition? Now apply that to portal kids too, combined with JCs and incoming frosh. So now a third of your roster on any given year is going to be doing the 'first in year in the system' dance. Blown assignments galore
