For Leech it was about a 25% increase, but if the bonus is linked to a bowl game, that might not be happening at MSU, and of course this is after taxes, so its about $600,000 or so. It is substantial, but when you are already making $4M I'm not sure that changes the equation much.

In the case of Manning, given the cost of living for Pullman versus LA, the after tax increase might have resulted in decreased actual standard of living.
