I viewed the tapes on Harper. 6'1 -173 S/CB, He is fast (4.42) and quick. He needs a lot of technique work and weightlifting.He has poor tackling technique and is not real physical. However,he has the soft hands of a receiver and he is a good athlete. He had strong interest from both Nebraska and Louisville but was probably the victim of the number s game. Overall,i would say that he has more long range upside than past recruit Willie Sykes who went to Nebraska.He is probably 2 years away and good coaching,nutrition and weight lifting will make him a contributor. He is a good pickup at this late date.

I like the signing a lot, but looking at his film, he doesn't look like a 4.42 guy to me. Offers from Nebraska and Louisville suggest he's a pretty good one though.
He has long strides and he may be a 4.42 guy. New information just posted shows that the Grinch was recruiting him for Missouri.Grinch knows how to teach these guys ,so it will be interesting on how he develops. He has all the tools. He just needs to be more physical like our past recruit who went to Nebraska.Iif he puts on some muscle and is taught proper technique he should develop under the Grinch.
Agreed.If Harper can get up to about 190-195 and plays more physical ,he has more athletic ability and upside. I believe that the Grinch will develop the guy and he will be a productive player at WSU. He actually has better coverage skills than Sykes who may have problems in college.
Watch the film again, towards the end you see his closing speed on a pass defense as the safety. This kid has legit sub 4.5 speed.
Yea, you're right. After looking at the tape again, this kid is a blazer. I expect him to challenge for a starting job next season.
