The stat line looks fine, but the game tape isn’t good. Ward needs to clean up his ball security and develop ability to feel pressure. He’s lucky to not have 4 lost fumbles and an interception. I am not sold on him and find Mateer to be increasingly flashy when given the opportunity.

Center and L-Tackle need a lot of work.

Hicks and CB’s are money.

I know it’s early, and it’s a W, but we could have won that 77-X if we played remotely clean.

Cam is great 50% of the time and frustrating the other 50%. He’s got to clean his game up.

It's sloppy but it's also week 1. This is probably the best we've looked in an opener since 2019 and you'd have to go back to 2013 or 2011 to find another showing that wasn't rough. Offense hit a number of explosives.

Yeah overall good easy win. Cam needs to clean up ball security and hit that easy TD pass. At least there were less questionable balls into coverage though. But we will see against better teams when guys will be not quite as open.

Having said that, Mateer is a guy who can be used very effectively in certain situations. We saw a glimpse of that yesterday.
