Get them locked up . Pay extra. Smith has shown he will find talent . Long talent .

He showed he can play the portal game . Out goes Roberts and his singleminded game . The ball now moves. If he had jaki from start of the season he would be ncaa bound .

Kammie is a top five coach in the country . And even more than that her teams play with such passion . Not just intensity but they love the game .

Totally agree.

I thought Smith was a Fugazi...but I was mistaken. This is the best ball I have seen the men play since 2008. And they play team ball.

Its fun to watch.

As far as coach K goes, what she has done is nothing short of amazing.

She wins 9 and 11 games her first two seasons...then proceeds to lose the 2 of the 3 best players to ever put on a Crimson uniform due to graduation, and she takes the program to new heights that we haven't seen.

Best ticket in town.

All Aboard!

I don’t follow Women's basketball to know which big $$ school’s coach is on the hot seat but Kamie has to be target No. 1 for those programs.

When you replace them with the best player ever, by a wide margin, it helps. Leading scorer, leader in assists, steals and second in rebounding, best defender and free throw taker on the best women's team ever.

Kamie has also reached "Coach K" status in my book. Tough as nails and expects the same from the players. The game plan they put together and ability of the players to execute it is really remarkable. She preaches "high IQ" and that's the kind of player we have in the program. A big plus has been how she's been able to keep players out of the portal. Hopefully that continues moving forward.

Coach Ethridge has also put together a great staff. Assistant Head Coach Laurie Koehn played in the WNBA and was on Ethridge's staff at Northern Colorado. Koehn was a great player at Kansas State.

Assistant coach Jason Chainey is from Australia and had been a head Coach in their top professional league.

Assistant coach Camille Williams was an All-Big 10 player at Wisconsin. She has coached all over, including six years as an assistant at Cal.

She also has Deb Patterson as the Director of Player Personnel and Program Analytics. Patterson was the successful head coach at Kansas State for 18 years.

Ethridge and her staff have done a wonderful job.

Yeah I think the players on the team all actually like each other. Not to say that wasn't the case in years past, but they weren't as tight as this group.

I think the only players that have transferrred out that got any meaningful minutes was Subasic and Muzet...and I remember being pissed about the Subasic situation.

I think we even had a lengthy thread about that one.

But in any case. yes, the retention has been impressive. Contrast that with some of the other schools. I remember Pili used to give us all kinds of problems at USC. Next thing you know, she's at Utah.

And that sharpshooter Brynna Maxwell left the Utes to play at Gonzaga.

Fingers crossed going forward.

The staff hasn't been perfect. IMO, they didn't handle Subasic well. I don't know about Muzet who I always thought had a lot of potential. She did well at Rhode Island. I was definitely voiced my displeasure here and then the whole program came together with the Leger-Walker sisters. I was way off and enjoy acknowledging that every year. Going to 3 straight Tournaments and there are still a lot of comments that don't get how good this team is over the last 3 years.

Keeli Burton-Oliver came in and right back out to Montana. I think she could have helped this year and next, but it didn't work out.

In terms of roster stability, it's us and Stanford. We haven't beat them yet, but good company. It's a big piece of the build IMO.

It is hard to believe that this is Burton-Oliver's first year on the court. So, she is listed as a redshirt-freshman. It is up to each player decide if they made the right decision to leave, but Subasic was an afterthought at OSU barely getting off the bench her two years there.
