Speaking of Rumors

Best album ever

True or False?
The title of Best Album is a tall order, and probably too broad to realistically handle. Lots of contenders, but Rumours has to be in the conversation.

Others:
Dark Side of the Moon (Floyd)
Led Zeppelin IV
Hotel California (Eagles)
Thriller (MJ)
Nevermind (Nirvana)
Born to Run (Springsteen)
What’s going On (Marvin Gaye)
Are You Experienced (Jimi)
Legend (Bob Marley)

I’ve never been a fan of the Beatles, but I’m sure some would put their stuff up there, and bands like U2 have had some albums that were tremendous worldwide, but I never much liked them either.

Albums:

Rubber Soul (Beatles)
Rumours (Fleetwood Mac)
Thriller (MJ)
Chicago Transit Authority (Chicago Transit Authority)
Crime of the Century & Breakfast in America (Supertramp)

Songs:

Hide In Your Shell (Supertramp)
Scenes From An Italian Restaurant (Billy Joel)
Closer (The Chainsmokers, feat. Halsey)
Beginnings (Chicago Transit Authority)

1984. VH

Ok, while I don’t know for sure what the best album ever was…I know it wasn’t by VH.
Oh you guys. The best album of all time is Strangers in the Night by my favorite (and unappreciated) band UFO. They put out over 20 albums over damn near 50 years. Hope the link works. If not google them. They were (and still are) so good.

Well then you’ll really like this one: they were better with Sammy Hagar

Abbey Road -- Best artists at their peak
Dark side of the Moon -- Technical brilliance
London Calling -- A stark reminder just how dreadful 1970s music was.
Nevermind -- Rock musics last great hoorah!

😂. This poster supports shitty music artists.

TBH I was serious about VH. One of my favorites and that’s a great album.
I was serious about Sammy. Never really liked VH, and DLR was a big part of that.

Dark Side of the Moon (PFloyd)

I don’t like DLR, he has morphed into a bald Marty Feldman, but still a great band. Unique sound. 1984
On second thought 95 is right. Listened to the album in the car today and I thought there was more great tracks then there was. 3 great ones…a couple ok ones and the rest…meh. To be considered here I’d say every song needs to be pretty awesome. Not so w 1984.

Had to leave a few for someone else.

There’s probably 100 albums we could throw into the conversation, and 100 more that some would want in there too. Picking the top one…impossible.

But it won’t be VH. 😬
