Early money might be favoring the dogs - we’ll see what it looks like on Saturday - but current bettor asssumption is that we can’t beat Furd on the road.

I realize the risk, coming off one of the most emotional and biggest ever weekends in program history - I hope the lads come with a solid plan and can find the scheme and the motivation this week now that the spotlight is elsewhere.

Still, really irritating that we come off a clinical thrashing of the #12 team and still enter as dogs on the road to a team with zero HFA which lost 2 of their last 3 in blowouts.

Oh well, hopefully it’s bulletin board material for the game.

I hope we don't have bulletin board material - just go in and play our brand of football.

Ok to have a little chip - we're Cougs, we're always 'dogs, but don't want them obsessing on being dissed again.

That being said, I just don't think Furd is the Furd of old. They aren't very explosive on offense and defense just seems average. Seems like a winnable game as long as we score.

Need to not have an emotional letdown after a high emotion event of this week. I’m not giving Oregon excuses but you could certainly say they were a bit flat to start after their big win last week. If we start out flat against Stanford they are capable of drilling us in the first half too. M

If you watched Leach talking to the team after the game, he talked about the importance of keeping the enthusiasm high on future games because it's a lot more fun in the locker room after the game when they do.

There's no evidence at this point that points to 'furd win..... I see WSU rolling them.... it could get ugly! It's not like we haven't beaten them recently anyway.

Two things to point out. First it appears Shaw has quit running Love into the ground/finally found some depth at RB against ASU.

Second, we have a matchup problem with Arcega Whiteside and Stanford's TEs. Assuming Harper is out, we've got no one over six feet tall to defend either of them. You saw what USC's tall WRs did, and that was with Harper in the game.

Don't need those matchups if you get pressure.

That's a big if, though Not that we won't get to him, but will it be enough to change the DNA of their offense.

If we had Herc we would get that pressure. But we are having trouble getting home with our front 4.

Playing at Stanford is such an interesting game. Not really a home field advantage from a perspective of crowd noise. Their OL is not as good as it usually is. However, Costello is more capable passing than their other qbs in the years post Luck. I think our linebackers are good enough to hold their offense in check and limit the big plays in the running game. If we can score 28 we should win.
