I mentioned before the season that while I thought Tay Martin could be a special WR, he seemed soft over the middle. This season has reiterated that. I still think he’ll grow into a great WR, but right now, he’s not a reliable option between the hash marks.

I wasn't terribly fond of his body language a couple of times last night. He obviously felt Minshew had missed him on a couple of plays and he probably was right but I haven't seen much of that on this years team. The attitude was one of the reasons I thought losing Tavaris Martin and Johnson Mack was an upgrade. This team hasn't shown much of that.

So tell us about your Vandals. I figured they would do well this year given what I assumed was a quasi D-1A roster. And that Petrino would have a playoff year and turn it into another job (not that I think he deserves the one he has) Not happening this year.......

Idaho is playing better of late. They need to reaclimate to the Big Sky, but I suspect they’ll become a top performer in that league.

I also thought they would do better. I'm not much of a Petrino supporter but like you I thought with a roster that was at least partly recruited for D-I (FBS) they would do better than they have. Eventually we probably will return to being one of the better teams in the Big Sky but obviously not this year.

The coach’s kid always pitches. First rule of youth sports

Someone needed to send Paul Petrino a note that stops in about ninth grade.

Well if they can't acclimate with their quasi-D1 roster, not sure how they will do that when those guys leave. Petrino must be the highest paid Big Sky coach now, will be curious to see what happens to him. Would not be surprised if his brother gives him a job. If Louisville doesn't fire him, that is.
